The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Standardization Administration Committee of the People’s Republic of China issued an ｕｐｄａｔｅd standard GB/T 11951-2018 <Natural fibres – Terminology>, which will come into effect on Sep 1st, 2018.
This new standard supersedes GB/T 11951-1989 and includes the following significant changes to the existing standard.
◆ The classification of animal fibres type modified
Added “fibres secreted by some molluscs” in the animal fibres type.
