Intertek Shanghai Becomes the 1st Notified Body in China Designated by DGSM and GSO for Oman Technical Requirements for Personal Electrical Transporters (E-Scooters)

According to Oman Directorate General of Standards and Metrology (DGSM) Administrative Decision No. 2 of 2025, dated 30 October 2025, the Oman Technical Requirements for Personal Electrical Transporters will be enforced in accordance with the following implementation schedule.

• Application Start Date ：1 January 2026
• Mandatory Implementation Date ：30 April 2026
• End of corrective period for products circulating in the market ：30 April 2027

Intertek Shanghai (Notified Body number: NB 0012) has been officially designated as Notified Body by both the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology (DGSM) and GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) for Oman Technical Requirements for Personal Electrical Transporters.

As a joint program with GSO G-mark scheme, two certificates, valid for 3 years, shall be issued simultaneously on the basis of the documentation submitted for one product certification application. One is for GSO Member State G-mark (MS-SC certificate) and the other is for Oman Certificate of Conformity (OM-SC Certificate). Both Initial Factory Assessment and Routine Follow-up Factory Inspection are also required per factory location.
