Recently, Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau Free Trade Zone Preparation Office published Announcement No. [2015] 1 on its official micro blog that Intertek had been awarded the accreditation to perform import and export commodity inspection and survey, becoming one of the first three organizations that obtained such accreditation in the Free Trade Zone.

As a trial free trade zone piloting in innovative policy and practices in China, Shanghai Free Trade Zone attracts extensive attention worldwide. Intertek has established a sole-funded company Intertek Inspection Service (Shanghai) Ltd. (天祥检验服务（上海）有限公司) in the free trade zone, currently can provide entrusted inspection, auditing and marine survey services for commodities, mechanical and electrical products and main consumer goods, and later will expand its business capacity and scope.
