In 2008, Intertek Mexico has been accredited and approved as a NOM Certification Body by the General Direction of Standards (DGN) of the Secretaría de Economía in Mexico.

Intertek is accredited to certify to a range of NOM standards which include all safety and part of energy efficiency standards.  According to the DGN Authorization Number DGN.312.04.2007-220 and based on Mexican Law on Metrology and Normalization, Intertek Mexico signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement with other Intertek Laboratories. Through the MRA Program the NOM standard test report issued by local recognized engineer is valid for NOM Certification in Mexico.
