Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Guangdong Province recently launched a special inspection on domestic porcelain ware which are produced and sold in Guangdong. This inspection reviewed 180 batches of domestic porcelain ware produced by 53 enterprises of Guangdong province, and finally, 134 batches products of the total were qualified and 46 batches products were unqualified, and the qualification ratio was 74.4 percent.
This spot check was conducted according to the national y standards GB/T 3532-2009 "Domestic Porcelain Ware", GB 12651-2003 "Standard permissible limits of lead and cadmium release from ceramic ware in contact with food", as well as product marking regulation standard. The key items inspected on domestic porcelain ware are lead release content, cadmium release content, thermo shock resistance, appearance quality, microwave oven testing, water absorption ratio, impact resistance, hardness for fine surface, deformation, color deviation, gloss rate, whiteness and the information for product label.
