In accordance with the "Notice on the Implementation of Relevant Quality Certification Work during the Prevention and Control Period of the Novel Coronavirus Epidemic" issued by General Office of the General Administration of Market Supervision and the “Notice on Arrangement of Certification and Conformity Assessment Work of Accreditation Bodies in the Forthcoming Period” issued by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (dated 4 February 2020), Intertek Mainland China has made the following work arrangements during the coronavirus epidemic period in addition to arrangements of the said notices:

All on-site audits involved in certification will be temporarily suspended until the end of February 2020. The specific resumption time will be decided according to decree of the relevant authority in the light of the development of in the epidemic situation and be notified separately.

If on-site audit is impossible within a short period, whether the certification continues to be effective can be assessed through document review and / or remote audit and the validity period of the certification can be postponed pursuant to said regulatory notices if appropriate. In view of different professional and technical requirements in different certification areas, specific operations need to be confirmed by communicating with the liaison person of the relevant certification business;

For companies whose original rectification period expires within the epidemic period, the rectification period may be extended until after the end of the epidemic. The rectification deadline may be decided through mutual consultation between Intertek and the applicant in light of the actual work resumption date. In spite of that, during the epidemic period, our company will accept rectification data submitted by the enterprise and conduct evaluation work on the data but will not conduct on-site verification activities.

For certification already in suspension due to stoppage of work of the applicant for any reason, during the epidemic period the certification may be resumed by remote audit. The suspension period may be extended until after the epidemic period through mutual consultation between Intertek and the applicant in the light of the development of the epidemic and work resumption date decreed by the relevant authority.

Companies which have obtained a certificate shall ensure that their certified products and / or management systems are updated to meet relevant certification requirements. After the end of the epidemic, our company will continue to perform its outstanding certification responsibilities in accordance with the instructions of the relevant authority and requirements of the relevant certification procedures and schemes, while strengthening quality management, controlling certification risks, continuously tracking the effectiveness of materials provided by companies, and verifying them when necessary.
