On 1 Aug 2018, the Gazette of the State of S?o Paulo published a Law No.16.803 of 2018 to prohibit the production and marketing of any product using feathers and feathers of goose, swan, pheasant or peacock within the area of the State of S?o Paulo for reducing cruelty to animals. Exception has been granted to those obtained in the form of by-products from industrial processes. This law has entered into force on the date of its publication, however, the authority will regulate this law in the period of 120 days counted from the date of its publication.
