Based on the preparatory study to analyse the technical, environmental and economic aspects of lighting products and components, the European Commission have update the ecodesign requirements for lighting products and components.
After the new regulation entry into force, the following Commission Regulation shall be repealed: 1194/2012/EU, 244/2009/EC, 245/2009/EC.
This provision now is under discussion. It shall apply from 1 September 2018. The Commission shall review this Regulation no later than 1 September 2025.
