On 24 August 2021, the UK released on the government website a notice that manufacturer “can continue to use the CE marking for goods placed on the market in Great Britain until 1 January 2023. The UKCA marking must be used for placing goods on the market in Great Britain from 1 January 2023”, which means the acceptance of the CE mark on GB market is extended one more year from 1 January 2022 to 1 January 2023; however, this is still subjected to the relevant GB and EU rules remain the same; if the EU changes its rules and your CE marked product is on the basis of those new rules that you will not be able to use the CE marking to sell in GB market, even before 31 December 2022.

As highlighted and suggested by UK government: The UKCA marking can be used now and we encourage businesses to start using the UKCA marking as soon as possible.
