THE RECALL CASES OF TEXTILE, FOOTWEAR AND ACCESSORIES PRODUCTS IN APRIL 2026

IN APRIL 2026, THERE WERE TOTAL 42 RECALL CASES (OF THESE, ONE CASE IS CLASSIFIED AS BOTH A PHYSICAL AND A CHEMICAL RECALL) OF TEXTILE, FOOTWEAR AND ACCESSORIES PRODUCTS FROM THE US, CANADIAN, EU AND AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. 30 OF THEM CAME FROM CHINA (INCLUDING HONG KONG, CHINA).

There are 14 physical recall cases from the EU market, including: 3 cases on health risk, 5 cases on injuries, the rest 6 cases are on burns, strangulation, suffocation, choking & injuries, chemical & injuries (This case also falls under the category of chemical recall cases.), and chemical & choking respectively.

There are 16 chemical recall cases from the EU market, including 12 cases that are against the REACH regulation, 3 cases are against the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation and REACH regulation, and 1 case (This case also falls under the category of physical recall cases.) that is against the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and EN 14682. 

There are 6 physical recall cases from the US market, including 3 cases on burn hazard, the rest 3 cases are on fall hazard, suffocation hazard, and suffocation & fall hazards.

There is no chemical recall case from the US market.

There are 7 physical recall cases from the Canadian market, including 2 cases on injury hazard, 4 cases on flammability hazard, and 1 case on strangulation & choking hazard.

There is no chemical recall case from the Canadian market.

There is no physical and chemical recall case from the Australian market.
