Amazon Direct Validation (DV) New Categories Expansion Covering Adult Portable Bed Rails, Clothing Storage Units, Walkers and Rollators

With the continuous advancement of Amazon’s Direct Validation (DV) Program, following product categories such as Toys and e-Mobility devices, Amazon has further expanded the scope of product compliance recently. New categories including Adult Portable Bed Rails, Clothing Storage Units, Walkers and Rollators have been incorporated into the DV Program.

Amazon has published compliance requirements via Seller Central. Sellers are required to cooperate with Amazon approved Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) service providers (e.g., Intertek) to submit compliance documents and complete Direct Validation.

Newly Added Product Categories Subject to DV & Applicable Markets

Key Updates to the DV Policy

1. Sellers must complete validation through Amazon approved TIC DV service providers.
2. Validation is mandatory for specified product categories and their corresponding ASINs.
3. Validation results will be submitted directly to Amazon by the approved TIC; Sellers are not required to upload results manually.
4. For triggered ASINs, sellers must contact the approved TIC service providers (e.g., Intertek) to submit compliance documents and complete Direct Validation before suppression date to avoid ASIN delisting.

Direct Validation Compliance Process

1. Go to Performance > Account Health > Policy Compliance, then click Product Safety and Compliance Issues.
2. Locate the ASINs requiring action and click Submit on the right-hand side. Two options will appear in the pop-up panel: Validate Your Products or Appeal.
3. Select Validate Your Products.
4. Choose an approved TIC for compliance validation (e.g., Intertek), then click Continue.
5. Confirm your primary contact information, click Confirm and Continue to submit the Test Request Form (TRF), and view the generated TRF ID on the page upon submission.
6. After receiving the TRF ID, the designated TIC (e.g., Intertek) will contact the seller to verify compliance documents and arrange subsequent validation process.
