The draft will become a formal regulation after its publication in the OJEU.

In 2023, there were 6.5 billion EUR worth of toys imported into the EU, 80% of which were from China. The new toy safety regulation (TSR) is expected to have an immense impact on the toy industry in China. Toys are also the second most notified dangerous consumer product in the EU Rapid Alert System (Safety Gate), which means the compliance with the new toy safety regulation (TSR) requires much attention from the industry actors.
