In December 2018, the Technical Committee CEN/TC252 “Child care articles” ARNOR Secretariat announced the new standard for baby carriages EN1888-1/-2:2018, which will also take effect in June 2019.

Compared to EN1888:2012, the significant technical changes related to the following issues:

3. Entrapment hazards
4. Hazards of moving parts
5. Entanglement hazards
6. Bite tests
7. Parking device test method
8. Stability of the vehicle
9. Introduction of an informative Annex E giving relevant translations for warning sentences
10. Introduction of an informative Annex D giving information on the assessment of moving parts of canopies
11. Introduction of an informative Annex G giving information on the arrangement of approval marks for car seats
