The US State of New Jersey has approved Bill No. A4416 to prohibit the sale, offering for sale or distribution of any product containing asbestos. The new provision shall take effect on 1 November 2019.

As defined in the New Jersey Statutes (C.34:5A-34), “asbestos” means the asbestiform varieties of chrysotile, crocidolite, amosite, anthophyllite, termolite, and actinolite.
