On 2 Jan 2019, OEKO-TEX published new version of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (2019) for Textile Products with updated test criteria and limits for the certification. This updated voluntary standard comes into effect on 1 April 2019.
The major changes of Appendix 4 and Appendix 6 are:
Appendix 4:

Benzene and four amine salts are included to comply with the requirements of the new “REACH Annex XVII CMR Legislation” (Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/1513).

Siloxanes D4, D5 and D6 and diazene-1,2-dicarboxamide (ADCA)are newly added.

Quinoline, which was “under observation” before, is now regulated with a limit value.

New “under observation” substances glyphosate and its salts as well as N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosatable substances are added, but currently do not have limit values.

Barium and selenium are included in the requirement of extractable heavy metal.

Disodium octaborate and MCCP are newly included in Flame retardants and the requirement for Flame retardants is adjusted.

MCCP is also incorporated with existing SCCP that are now covered in the new parameter “Chlorinated paraffins” and the requirement now is stipulated as sum of SCCP and MCCP.

The limit values for Aniline, TCEP and Formaldehyde (Class III) are lowered.

Requirement on Solvent residues (NMP, DMAc, DMFa) is equalized with those already existing in Appendix 6.
