On 2nd May 2018, Canada’s Department of Health has published SOR/2018-82 Children’s Jewellery Regulations, which shall repeal SOR/2016-168 Children’s Jewellery Regulations. All the proposed provisions have been approved, and shall come into force on 2 November 2018.
The main updates in SOR/2018-82 include:

Children’s jewellery shall not contain more than 90 mg/kg of lead.

Children’s jewellery shall not contain more than 130 mg/kg of cadmium if the jewellery item is small enough to be totally enclosed in the small parts cylinder when a force of not more than 4.45 N is applied.
