The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Group has released Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) Conformance Guidance
On June 2, 2017, the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) has released Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) Conformance Guidance to assist the supply chain to meet the ZDHC MRSL requirements.
This Guidance provides chemical suppliers with an indication system to assess whether chemical formulations conform with the ZDHC MRSL Taking the form of certificates from ZDHC accepted third parties or acceptable analytical test results, the system describes the criteria certification bodies must meet to be accepted by the ZDHC as an indicator of MRSL conformance.
There are four ZDHC MRSL conformance level range from 0 to 3 in this system. These levels provide a buyer of chemical products a level of confidence that indicating how any given chemical product conforms to the ZDHC MRSL.
The higher the conformance level, the more extensive and thorough the review of the chemical formulation and its producer.
