This British Standard specifies safety requirements and methods of test for swimming goggles, designed for surface swimming only and intended for use by adults and children.

When measured with appropriate gauges, all components, excluding the seal and head strap, shall be free from exposed edges of radius less than 2 mm. and including the test requirement on

• Optical performance
• Impact strength
• Compressive strength
• Leakage and water seal

Scope:

• Swimming goggles designed for surface swimming only.
• Having individual cup-type lenses

CE marking shall be provided on the product, and swimming goggles belong to category I of PPE directive:
