Rockland County/New York State/USA - Adopts Revised Toxic Free Toys Act
The County of Rockland has officially adopted Local Law No. 7 of 2015 as the new version of the Toxic Free Toys Act. Unsafe children’s products shall be prohibited on the basis of Federal and New York State Laws. The newly signed law shall take effect on 21 February, 2016.
The initial ban on seven chemicals in children’s products has been withdrawn. The revised Act states that children’s products and children’s apparel shall comply with:

Section 396-k of the New York General Business Law;

Federal Hazardous Substances Act;
-
Consumer Product Safety Act; and
-
Applicable New York State or Federal regulations
