The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemcial (ZDHC) Group Released Updated MRSL Version 1.1
The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemical (ZDHC) Group has released updated Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) to include natural leather processing.
The purpose of the MRSL is to provide brands and suppliers with a harmonized approach to managing chemicals during the processing of raw materials within the apparel and footwear supply chain.
The first edition of MRSL was published in June 2014 which focus on the textile production while this update version (i.e ZDHC MRSL version 1.1) includes a list of hazardous substances potentially used in the leather process and trim parts for apparel and footwear.
