The Mexican Ministry of Health approved and published the Amendment to Mexican Official Standard NOM-252-SSA1-2011 “Environmental Health. Toys and school supplies. Bioavailability limits of heavy metals. Chemical specifications and test methods” in the Official Journal. This amendment has entered into force. Point 1.2.3.1 of NOM-252-SSA1-2011 is amended as follows as proposed in the draft amendment:

School supplies for preschool use (except pencils), toys and their parts (which have been imported under temporary regime) intended for the exportation.
