India BIS Compulsory Registration Extended Date of Implementation to 13 Aug, 2015 for Seven Category Products
India Department of Information Technology published notice last year that fifteen products had been included to the BIS Compulsory Registration Order which were power adaptors for IT and AV equipment, UPS/Invertors of rating ≤5kVA, portable power source, LED luminaires, mobile phones, copying machine and cash register etc.
Whereas the industry has sought more time for compliance to the Order as it involves design changes needing time, and ｗｈｅｒｅas these issues have been discussed with the stakeholders, the India government notified on 11 May, 2015 that the date of implementation of the Order had been extended to 13 Aug, 2015 for the selected products mentioned below:
