USA Approved Infant Bouncer Seats and Stationary Activity Centers

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission approved to amend the banned articles intended for use by children prescribed in 16 CFR 1500.

A baby bouncer and a walker jumper are currently considered as banned articles intended for use by children under 16 CFR 1500.18(a)(6), and the exemptions from classification as banned articles intended for use by children are mentioned in 16 CFR 1500.86(a)(4).

As the safety requirements of an infant bouncer and a stationary activity center are regulated by 16 CFR 1216 and 16 CFR 1238 respectively, according to the amendments, these two products are exempted in 16 CFR 1500.18(a)(6) and 16 CFR 1500.86(a)(4).

It will be effective on 21 September 2026.
