Following previous announcement from GSO on 26 March 2023 regarding the postponement of the implementation of the IEC 60335-2-24:2020 (Edition 8) standard, GSO issued an important update and clarification regarding the adoption of the IEC 60335-2-24:2020 (Edition 8) standard in March 2024.

• GSO has officially adopted the standard as GSO IEC 60335-2-24:2024, effective from 31 January 2024.

• In line with GSO policy, the adoption of this latest version automatically initiates a two-year transition period, which means that all certificates issued based on the older edition shall be updated to IEC 60335-2-24:2020 by 31 January 2026.
