EU: Public Consultation on 2 Potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC)
On 1 March 2024, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) has launched a public consultation on 2 potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The proposed substances in the consultation are listed as below. The deadline for commenting is 15 April 2024.

If SVHC substances are present in an article placed on the EU/EEA market in a concentration above 0.1 % w/w, the EU/EEA supplier of that article needs to submit a SCIP notification to ECHA under the EU Waste Framework Directive (WFD, Directive 2008/98/EC).
