The implementation of the List of Products for Phase Two (A) under the technical regulation on conformity scheme (Reference: DGSM-PL-1A-23) issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) – Directorate General for Standards and Metrology (DGSM) will be effective from 8^th December 2023. The scope of this phase includes the following products categories under Energy Efficiency Labeling Scheme:

• Electrical Clothes Washing Machines (OS 1651:2022)
• Water Heaters (OS 1652:2022)
• Refrigerators, Refrigerator-Freezers and Freezers (OS 1653:2022)

The manufacturer shall apply to a single DGSM Notified Body by of his choice for verification and registration of their products and obtain the permit to use the Omani energy efficiency labelling. The registration validity period for Energy Efficiency label will be valid for 2 years.

• Before 8^th June 2024, Notified Body can issue a confirmation document as the evidence of application initiated by the manufacturer.
• After 8^th June 2024, it will be mandatory for the manufacturer to attach the registered Energy Efficiency Label generated by HAZM platform to all products being manufactured, imported, and sold in Sultanate of Oman.
