On January 1, 2019, the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO)’s SABER electronic platform officially went live. During the SASO (PC/SC) process applied through the SABER electronic platform for toy products, a GCTS certificate must be submitted, that is, the Product Conformity Certificate Information (GC Type Examination Certificate).

On May 20, 2022, the SASO issued the technical regulations for baby stroller and safety seats (M.A-184-22-06-01-02). All suppliers should conduct qualification assessment according to the technical requirements in the related standards, and provide information related to potential health, safety and environmental risks.

On May 21, 2023, the GSO held the 6th GSO Notification Body Working Group Meeting. As a GSO-approved Notification Body (NB) and a SASO-approved certification body (CB), experts from Intertek attended the meeting and participated in the discussion on various topics.

On June 21, 2023, the GCTS certificate registration system was updated and the GSO officially announced the coordinated standards for GSO toys for the first time.
