According to the announcement from GSO on 26 March 2023, GSO technical Committee TC03 has taken the decision to postpone the implementation of the latest version of IEC 60335-2-24:2020 (Ed. 8).

Therefore, GSO ask all the Notified Bodies to:

• postpone the implementation of IEC 60335-2-24:2020 until the new edition publish on GSO standards store (www.gso.org.sa/store);
• reactivate any certificate that has been suspended or terminated due to the expiry of the previous version of standard, as the aforementioned will mean it is not necessary to update the current certificates to the latest version (Ed. 8) until further notice;
• accept the test reports according the valid as GSO version which is IEC 60335-2-24:2010+
  AMD1:2012+AMD2:2017 (Edition 7.2).

All certificates or test reports already issued according to IEC 60335-2-24:2020 (Ed. 8) are still acceptable on a voluntary basis and will not require any revision to go back to the Edition 7.2.
