On April 26,2022. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has published a direct final rule to approve the update of the Safety Standard for Baby Changing Products (16 CFR 1235). The effective date is 31 July 2022.

According to the updated standard, each baby changing product shall comply with all applicable provisions of ASTM F2388–21, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Baby Changing Products for Domestic Use.
