ECHA Proposed to Add Eight New Substances in Annex XIV to REACH Regulation
 

On 2 February 2022, European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a public consultation on the proposed recommendation of eight new substances for the European Commission to include in the Authorisation List (Annex XIV to REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006). Comments can be given by 2 May 2022.

The eight substances proposed to be recommended are as follows:

The comments received during the consultation will help ECHA finalise its recommendation. ECHA’s recommendation is submitted to the European Commission in spring 2023, who take the decision on the substances to be included in the Authorisation List.

If a substance is included in the Authorisation List, it can only be placed on the market or used after a given date if an authorisation is granted for a specific use. Companies that are using, manufacturing or importing these substances shall apply for authorisation.
