The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has published a direct final rule to revise 16 CFR 1232 Safety Standard for Children's Folding Chairs and Stools. It shall be effective on 6 July 2020.

According to the revised Standard, each children's folding chair and stool shall comply with ASTM F2613-19 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Children's Chairs and Stools.

Note:

Children's chair: seating furniture with a rigid frame that is intended to be used as a support for the body, limbs, or feet of a child when sitting or resting in an upright or reclining position.

Children's stool: children's chair without back or armrests.
