Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has established a CE Notified Body (NB) certification fast track in China. Through this service, Notified Body Opinion (NBO) can be issued as quickly as within 24 hours starting from April, and Intertek thus becomes one of few NBs who can issue NBO in China.

To increase quality and efficiency of NB certification service, Intertek NB (0359) certification officer has come to work in Intertek Shenzhen office, leading the local team to carry out NBO review and certification.  With one-stop local service of testing, review and certification, Intertek NB certification will bring customers with fast and efficient service experience.

A notified body, in the European Union, is an entity that has been accredited by a Member State to assess whether a product to be placed on the market meets certain preordained standards. For product involving new technology and having no applicable uniform EU standard, the applicant shall submit the testing report and technical file to NB. After reviewing the document, the NB will render judgements about compliance to essential requirements of related directive, and issue conformity assessment report, namely the NBO.

As one of the earliest third party bodies obtained NB status, Intertek has three notified bodies, which are the UK 0359, U.S. 0979 and Sweden 0413, and can provide NB certification service for the EU market. Furthermore, Intertek is a Telecommunication Certification Body authorized by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission and a Foreign Certification Body authorized by Industry Canada, and can offer complete certifications for wireless products.
