Results of National Quality Supervision and Inspection for Leather Shoes in the First Quarter of 2012
In the first quarter of 2012, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China launched a national supervision on leather shoes according to its annual plan.
This spot check inspected 120 batches of leather shoes produced by 120 manufacturers from 7 provinces in total. According to the requirements of standard QB/T1002-2005 "Leather Shoes", QB/T 2955-2008" Casual Shoes", etc, the key items inspected were focused on 10 areas such as sole loading, shoe flexing, sole abrasion, shank stiffness and others . The inspection found a total of 113 batches were qualified, and 7 batches were unqualified.
The main unqualified items were sole loading (sole and upper-4 batches), whole shoe flexing (2 batches) and sensory quality (1 batch).

Results of Quality Supervision and Inspection for Leather Shoes in Anhui Province
In June 2012, the Anhwei Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce issued results of a supervision over shoes. A total of 25 batches were determined as unqualified during the inspection, including some well-known brands.
The main unqualified items: sole loading (13 batches), shoe flexing (21 batches), and appearance (16 batches).
