By August 31, 2012, the Washington Department of Ecology will require largest manufacturers of children’s products containing Chemicals of High Concern to Children (CHCCs) to register and to file a report for those products. The State of Washington will have formal enforcement action for any eligible product that is not reported.

The CSPA applies to certain children’s products including toys, children’s cosmetics, children’s jewelry, children’s clothing (including shoes), child car seats, and products intended to help a child with sucking or teething, to facilitate sleep, relaxation, or the feeding of a child.
