Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for 41 batches of wool knitting goods, and cover the main manufacturers of Shanghai. Out of these inspected products, 33 batches were produced by Shanghai city. The inspection found a total of 9 batches of unqualified products, 5 of which were produced by Shanghai manufacturers.

This spot check was conducted according to the national mandatory standards GB 18401-2003/2010 "National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products", GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for Use of Products of Consumer Interest--Instructions for Use of Textiles and Apparel", FZ/T 73005-2002 "Low Wool Content and Wool Like Knitting Goods", FZ/T 73009-2009 "Cashmere Knitting Goods", FZ/T 73018-2002 "Wool Knitting Goods", FZ/T 73034-2009 "Semi-worsted Wool Knitting Goods". The key items inspected on these products were care instructions, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, azo dye, odor, color fastness to dry rubbing, color fastness to perspiration, color fastness to water and pilling test.

The main unqualified item was fiber content (7 batches), color fastness (1 batch), formaldehyde (1 batch), pH value (1 batch).
