Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for 48 batches of quilts goods, and covered the main manufacturers of Shanghai. Out of these inspected products, 43 batches were produced by Shanghai city. The inspection found a total of 8 batches of unqualified products, 7 of which were produced by Shanghai manufacturers.

This spot check was conducted according to the national mandatory standards GB 18401-2003/2010 "National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products", GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for Use of Products of Consumer Interest--Instructions for Use of Textiles and Apparel"l, GB/T 22796-2009 "Quilts, Quilt cover", GB/T 24252-2009 "Silk Quilts", GB/T 22843-2009 "Cushion and Pillow", GB/T 22844-2009 "Matched Bedding", FZ/T 81005-2006 "Quilting Goods", FZ/T 61006-2006 "Acrylie Weft-knitted Blanket", FZ/T 43018-2007 "Silk Velvet Blankets", FZ/T 61001-2006 "Wool and Wool Blended Blanket", FZ/T 61002-2006 "Chemical Fiber Blanket", FZ/T 61004-2006 "Raschel Blanket", FZ/T 61005-2006 "Blanket", GB/T 22864-2009 "Towel", QB/T 1193-1991 "Feather Quilt". The key items inspected on these products were care instructions, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, azo dye, odor, color fastness to dry rubbing, color fastness to perspiration, color fastness to water, color fastness to washing, color fastness to light, raw material requirements, down content, microbe test, duck feather (down) content.

The main unqualified item was fiber content (2 batches), down content (2 batches), microbe test (1 batch), color fastness to light (1 batch), pH value (3 batches).
