移动式取暖器须配备倾倒开关或电路；壁挂/吊装机型、额定标称208V及以上的机型可豁免 (4.9.5)。
当机器不在正常工作状态时，应能切断全部加热元件，且复位前不得再次加热. (33.19, 40.1.15)。
通过倾倒测试和翻转测试确认。
倾倒测试（42.4A）：通电状态下，按规定方向依次倾倒，倾倒开关须在到达最终静止位置前断开加热。
翻转测试（42.4B）：将设备180°倒置后，加热元件必须立即断电。 |
| 电源线与内部线路连接(16D.7) |
在电源线和内部线路连接的地方，相反极性连接之间的距离应大于30 mm。
例外：如果在连接处之间提供了合适的补充绝缘或屏障，则距离可以小于或等于30mm。 |
| 所有电源线与内部线路连接(16D.8) |
所有电源线与内部线路的连接点需先机械固定后再焊接，具体参见下面标准正文16D.8。
例外：额定电压208V及以上的机型。 |

16D.8 All connections of supply cord to internal wiring of a heater shall comply with both (a) and (b):
a) The soldered connection shall be mechanically secured prior to soldering. Mechanical securement shall be made by one or more of the following methods:
- Crimping;
- Twisting of conductors;
- Right-angle bend; or
- An offset in the conductors.
b) Continuous solder shall be applied on the entire zone X shaded areas in Figure 16D.1:
- The wire strands on cord side of the crimp;
- At the crimp; and
- The wire strands to the integral extension for the connector.

20.3.5 All internal connections of the internal wiring of a heater, except for supply cord connections, shall comply with 16D.8.
Exception 1: This requirement is not applicable to internal connections carrying 15 watts or less in a steady-state condition. The 15 W determinations shall be in accordance with Section H27.1 of UL 60730-1 (or IEC 60730-1).
Exception 2: This requirement is not applicable to connections to a motor or pilot light.
Exception 3: Heaters rated 208 V or more need not comply with this requirement.
