EX号码是美国运输部（以下简称运输部）专门针对将要出口到美国的所有烟花类产品所发行的批准号。每个EX号码对应唯一的申请人或厂家的组合。
We are pleased to announce that the Intertek is now providing a new service - Applicataion to EX-Number Approval. An EX-Number is a number issued by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for all fireworks that may be shipped into the USA. Each EX-Number exclusively corresponds to either the applicant or the company.
美国联邦法规第49卷173.56规定“新爆炸品”必须经过检验和审核后方能在美国境内进行运输。因此每个烟花生产厂家都必须让其爆炸品及爆炸品设备经过检验和审核。每个需要进行新爆炸品审批的公司都要先得到运输部属下的危险物品安全办公室授予的书写批准书与一个批准号（EX号码）才能进行运输。在联邦法规管制下，烟花类产品，包括UN0335，1.3G演示类烟花和UN0336，1.4G消费者使用烟花都同样受制于以上EX号码审核要求。
US 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 173.56 requires that “new explosives” must be examined and approved before they can be transported inside United States. Each manufacturer must have its explosive or explosive device examined and approved. Each company requesting approval of a new explosive must receive written approval and an EX-Number from the office of Hazardous Materials Safety of DOT before offering that explosive for transportation. Under Federal regulations, fireworks including Class 1.3G/1.4G or UN0335/0336 are subject to the EX-Number approval requirement.
烟花贸易公司及生产商均可以通过权威机构--Intertek轻松便捷的获得EX号码。所有相关的数据，包括详细的物质结构图、温度控制记录及证明、测试结果等资料均要求呈交到运输部作审核之用。对烟花产品检测具备资深经验的Intertek已经委任了合资格的化学工程师去协助广大申请者准备全套文件以完成EX号码审批申请程序。除此之外，Intertek 根据申请者的需要也提供设备稳定性测试服务。
Both the trading company or the fireworks manufacturer can obtain an EX-number conveniently through the competent authority, Intertek. All relevant data including physical construction diagram, temperature controls record or proof, and test results are required for submission to DOT for approval. With professional experience of fireworks testing, Intertek has designated a qualified Chemist to assist applicants with their preparation of all documentation for an EX-Number Approval application. Furthermore, Intertek also provides the stability test of the device which is required in the application.
